A PlanterCell Green Roof is a roof of a building that is partially or completely covered with vegetation. It is planted over a root-resistant waterproofing membrane and includes a layer which can aid in water drainage and water retention accompanied by a functional irrigation system. These green roofs are classified into intensive green roofs (roof gardens) and extensive green roofs (ornamental, vegetable gardens).
